Vera & Opal: Made by women, for women

Just like the Australian opal, every woman is unique, multi-faceted, and beautiful in her own way. But we also know that life isn’t always sparkling. Sometimes our inner fire needs a little extra protection. That’s exactly why Vera & Opal was created.

Vera & Opal is more than just an online jewellery shop. We are a community of women who believe in the power of connection. When women support one another, magical things happen. Because we believe in authenticity, care, and quality, all our jewellery is lovingly handmade. We design unique pieces that symbolise love, friendship, and inner strength. It’s a lasting gift for yourself to celebrate your successes, or a special gesture for a friend to let her know: I’m here for you.

But our mission goes beyond the jewellery you wear. We believe that every woman has the right to feel safe, dignified, and empowered. That’s why, for every piece of jewellery sold, we donate a fixed amount to support Australian women in vulnerable situations. We divide our donations across three wonderful organisations that are incredibly close to our hearts: RizeUp Australia and Share the Dignity, which provide immediate help, basic necessities, and a safe haven to women facing domestic violence or homelessness, and the McGrath Foundation, which offers vital support and care to women affected by breast cancer.
